The Woods is the newer, and more challenging of the two courses that make up Cherry Creek Golf Links. It opened in 2002, six years after the Links courses, and features heavily tree-lined fairways that offer a secluded feel for the player.
At 6,565 yards from the tips, the Woods is not exceptionally long and the trees do hide some of the wind. However the number of gentle doglegs and water holes restrict the use of the driver for the skilled player. It is more of a shotmaker's course.
