Three of Golfweek magazine’s “Top 10 Best Courses You Can Play” in New York State are right
here on Long Island.Yes, No. 1 is Bethpage Black.  This may well be the Best Course in the United States, although some who have played Pebble Beach might disagree.

One of the better Long Island golf courses, Harbor Links, I believe is on to something
interesting.  The National Golf Foundation (NGF) says that after the economy, the No. 1
reason the number of rounds of golf are down is that in today’s hectic world, people do
not have time for a round of 18 holes.

Harbor Links has introduced a Nine + Dine program every Thursday evening.  First tee
time is 5:30 PM on the best Executive Course in the NY Metro area.  The package
features 9 holes and a dinner in their very nice Grill Room in the main Clubhouse.
